Bianca

Bianca  (they/them/she/her)

Hi Everyone!
My name is Bianca. I am Director and Owner of Bright Star Support Services SA.
I am a mother of 2 amazingly unique humans, both with their own disabilities. I have been working as a Disability Support Worker for over 6 years. Before that I assisted in a playgroup that was inclusive of all with an area of understanding for autistic children. I also volunteered with an organisation who support families on the autism spectrum for 4 years.
I am a qualified counsellor. A Lead Trainer of Emotional-CPR, and hold a diploma in Mental Health. I am autistic and a life full of lived experience.

I am quirky and you will tend to see me in a different pair of quirky earrings!

I pride myself on being transparent, honest and authentic in who I am.
I am passionate about making a change, supporting not only the client but the whole family and spreading understanding, acceptance, validation and more. I believe for this the key words are connection and compassion. I am a Marvel fan, I am creativity with Arts and Crafts. And gently learning the art of gardening!

Katy

Katy (She/her)

Hi my name is Katy!
I am a passionate disability advocate and am excited to bring my skills and knowledge of NDIS to the Brightstar Team.
What will my job be?
I help you understand and budget your plan to help you map a pathway forward. If needed, I can also support you to prepare for plan review.
Maximising supports in participants plans is part of the whole thing, assessing budgets, supports and goals and sometimes working with what you have until your next scheduled plan review.
I look forward to connecting with others and supporting as needed.

Thaiss

Thaiss (She/her)

Hi I’m Thaiss and I’m a Spanish Australian.  I’ve enjoyed travelling to different countries overseas. I am a new mum to a beautiful girl. I love music, vintage movies and road trips to hidden towns to check out their antique shops, house ruins and the history of the town. (Crystal Brooke was pretty good!) I have been in the Early Learning Sector for over 20 years and still want to be connected and be a part of creating a better world for children and their families. I would love to carry this passion over to the disability sector.

One of my favourite things to do is curl up with a good book and I’m always on the look-out for great new book or author recommendations.
